  • Podcasts - Perfect App for Podcasts

    By Jcsbija
I am ALWAYS listening to podcasts. This app is very nearly perfect for that. Features I’ve appreciated since I made the switch from Apple’s app - the “smart speed” function. It’s saved me over 34 hours now (did I mention I listen to a lot of podcasts). Also, voice boost is great for podcasts with voices that don’t ring through. Or maybe for those early episodes of your fav pod before that bought fancy mics. Anywho, all it needs is a sleep function that says “end of episode”. Everything else, perfect
  • So much better than the Apple podcast app

    By Search nerd
If I had known how easy it would be to switch to Overcast and get intuitive playlists and fewer bugs, I would have done it years ago. Every feature is designed for people who want to listen to podcasts but don’t want to spend hours organizing and syncing. Couldn’t be more impressed with the Overcast team and this app.
  • Cool looking idea-didn’t work

    By ZeekDuWaf
Not sure why, but after adding subscriptions ...about 2 hours of work ... and the darn app didn’t play a single minute of podcast. I was not happy!
  • Playlist issues

    By Cnbalenburke
Episodes disappear from my playlists that I spend time putting together! What’s the deal?
  • Easier to manage than standard podcast app

    By overcast_noob
So far I have found overcast to be easier to manage than the standard podcast app. I also have multiple Apple devices and by having Overcast limited to just one of those it is easier to have that device dedicated to podcasts.
  • The better alternative!

    By Egggirl47
I started using Overcast after the last big overhaul of the iTunes podcast app. I love the option of making different playlist and not having to keep adding podcast to it!
  • Watch companion

    By Sam Gorena
It has a great watch companion that you can browse your subscriptions and downloaded content. Love it.
  • Can’t order podcast list

    By TracerX-1
Seems basic, but can’t seem to select the podcast order. I can’t use it. Too bad
  • Instantly Enjoyable

    By Henri_AK
After the various glaring issues with the default podcast app, this app has obviously learned from its predecessor’s major downfalls. It excels at presenting all of the good good content there is to learn and love in the podcast realm especially in areas where the podcast app was buggy or just over thought. Now come play with me in this space and enjoy! There really is something for everyone.
  • A Podcast app that’s actually innovating

    By Bjbarlowe
Seriously, Apple is sitting on its hands with their podcast app, or when it does update it, it makes the interface worse. That’s what sent me searching for an alternative some time ago. So glad I found this app. Overcast has a simple, clear interface that’s very customizable with smart playlists and clever options you can use or leave alone, whatever you prefer! Even though the ads are not at all in the way, I’m thinking of buying premium just to support these folks. Great work!
