We believe the quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life. So when it comes to your most important relationship, it makes sense to take a more thoughtful approach. Hinge provides an alternative to swipe culture by creating smart matches and natural conversations among people who are on the same page. That’s why 75% of our first dates turn into second dates, and why we’re the #1 mobile-first dating app mentioned in the NYTimes Wedding section. Hinge is where the next generation is going when they’re over dating games and ready to find meaningful connections. Hinge is well crafted, and makes an effort to put thoughtfulness back into online dating. I love that you must like *something* on someone’s profile, rather than a blanket yes or no.

This app still has the same issue. You’ll get plenty of matches. And no one wants to respond. What’s the point of having the app and conversing with someone if you match them?
  • This app must be in beta so I reserve judgment until further notice

Somewhat disappointed. signed up for the app found that apparently I’m not able to actually type in a profile I have to answer questions which is typical okcupid bs. I find that I can’t change my distance or other characteristic restrictions unless I pay for the app. Default range is 1000 miles where the hell did you come up with that number . I find out that if I set my distance range to 20 miles but it turns out oh guess what the first match I get is 50 miles away someone doesn’t have a freaking clue what they’re doing. Is this written by developers who actually care about building quality software or sales people who don’t have a freaking clue other than to shove crap in our face
  • Michael Flatley irritates me, but I respect him.

I’ve tried a few dating apps, but this is the first one that feels like it’s made for me to actually enjoy peacefully. Well done.

I was getting really exhausted from dating apps, then I downloaded Hinge. I feel like this app brings the getting to know someone stage to another level. They give you a bunch of questions to answer and they highlight pictures AND your personality (by making people scroll through the pictures and your answers side by side). What a simple concept and yet no other dating app has been able to capture that. I also love the idea that you’re not allowed to just “swipe”, you have to actually like something on that persons page (although I would change that to mandatory like and comment on the thing that you liked - that’s where the real conversation happens); I noticed that I won’t even accept someone who just “likes” something any more, they have to say something about why they liked it. Gives it way more depth and it’s more personal :) thanks Hinge!!
  • Finally a decent app

I got about 10 matches in a day or so. No spam accounts like Tinder, and the people here are actually genuine. We’ll see what comes of it, but so far so good. 5/5

Although I haven’t had any dates - yet -the guys seem willing to reach out and have a ‘conversation’; something which the guys on other dating apps seem to not know how to do or know what to say. I know you can’t attribute someone’s inability or unwillingness to start a conversation on the app, per se, but it is refreshing to see that the ability to strike up a conversation is not a loss art for everyone.
  • Mutual friends

Please bring back mutual friend connections. That was one of the most appealing things about the app. Please!
