  • Disgrace

    By avidglobereader
This app is a disgrace. It is mind boggling that such a fine paper cannot offer a decent app to read on all devices. While seeming to allow a download of a static paper so you could read offline, it requires an internet connection to read it.
  • Doesnt work offline

    By BLW33
On planes or any other time I’m not connected I get some arcane sustem error saying no project available or something like that. Developers should try downloading and then accessing offline content - it’s maybe a 50/50 proposition
  • New & Improved!!!

    By K8TheSk8
Works great now. Have to start the day w the Globe. No other paper like it. Am giving subscptns for gifts: grad, weddings, etc. people say it’s a great idea esp these days ;)!
  • The WORST!

    By stevie8
I dumped the Boston Globe’s inefficient home delivery in favor of this. Big mistake. The app seldom refreshes. It’s impossible to download “today’s” paper on the first try. I keep having to reboot in order to refresh the app. In short, this version of the Globe is even WORSE than the home-delivered version. HATE THIS.
  • Crash!!!!

By at least try to do better
This app has not been updated in over a year and crashes continually. Just tried to read one story and it crashed EIGHT times. Never got to finish the story. CRASH. CRASH. CRASHCRASHCRASHCRASHCRASHCRASH
  • I give up!

    By Nancy vna
Until this app is fixed , I will unsubscribe. Freezes everytime. I am so sad. I love the Boston Globe but I am done as I only read online. Back to The NY Times!
  • The Globe should be embarrassed

    By RKDuke
Crashes, hung downloads, slow loading...what a mess.
  • No iPhone X Support

    By dantali0n
App doesn’t support the X’s screen, paper downloads are slow, interface is outdated and clunky.
  • An embarrassment

    By Rich Mur.
“Words can't describe just how bad this app is. Downloads get hung up so that one can be waiting days for issues that never show up. The Globe should be embarrassed that it's name is associated with this piece of junk. Don't buy it.” I wrote the above review several years ago and have been assured by the Globe that the app will be improved. Now, two years later, nothing has changed, and it’s still a pig. More often than not, the paper’s already slow down-load never finishes, and I say the hell with it, and never get to read the paper. How the Globe allows this to happen is incomprehensible.
  • poor excuse for an e paper

    By Karen6789
I get 2 epapers delivered, one which works great, never crashes and allows me to read the paper easily. The Globe freezes, won’t move to the next page, won’t load for 4-5 minutes, is extremely frustrating. If a hard copy doesn’t get delivered, there is a number to call. Who do you contact if the epaper can’t be read? Does anyone at the Globe care?
