Description

This app is an UNOFFICIAL fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site. I created it because I am a fan of fanfiction, and I wanted to help people access the stories they love. No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site. If you are kind enough to give me a "tip" that money goes to me, not to The Organization for Transformative Works or AO3. Thank you for using Unofficial fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site! Search your favorite fanfics by multiple tags, exclude tags, search by fandom, fanfic title, author, characters and other options; read fanfics right from the app with no need to open them in separate reader app, download the best fanfics for later offline access. Log in to AO3 to access your bookmarks (favorite bookmarked fanfics), check your History, leave kudos (likes) and view and leave comments for the fanfics. Night Reading Mode: switch to day/night theme by using icon on Navigation Bar while reading the fan fiction story. Fullscreen mode: tap in the centre of the screen while reading the fanfic to enter full screen, tap again to go back to normal view. When you launch the app, it shows list of fanfics from AO3 main page. To filter results use Search option. To view fanfic, click on the item with its description. Then you will be taken to the fics details page which show all the information including author name, title, number of chapters, kudos, comments, views and other info about the story (fandom, characters, relationships etc). As AO3 doesn’t have any API, so issues do occur. Thanks for understanding. The application includes Auto-Renewable Subscription (Prosub). Once you have purchased it, the subscription starts. Since then every week you will get digitally generated recommendations of fan fics (fan fiction works). Subscription length is 1 month and it its auto-renewable. The subscription price is 0.99$ per month. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Privacy Policy and Terms of Use link: http://simpleappalliance.blogspot.com.by/2016/05/unofficial-ao3-reader-privacy-policy.html Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

Searching and downloading series could be a little smoother, but for an unofficial reading app it’s quite nice!

I love this app, and go to it to read most of my fanfiction. However, latley I’ve noticed that whenever I organize my stories, as soon as I click out of the app my stories will be in the uncatetgorized folder. This keeps happening no matter how many times I reorganize my stories. Besides that, the app works great, if you could just fix this one issue that would be great! Thank you!
  • Search Function Broken

My old version for iOS9 started acting wonky when I searched for fics, returning no results when I typed in the exact author and title. So I upgraded. Now when I search I still get no results when using precise information, and when using incredibly broad search parameters I might get 10 results when on the website I get thousands. Also now I’m not allowed to have more than 30 downloads with the free version. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It went from UNLIMITED to THIRTY?! Originally this was a 4-Star app, but now that I can’t actually add new fics to my lineup, it’s only ONE-star, and only because at least I still have access to the previous fics I downloaded. Also, advertisements are getting out of control. It used to be every 15-20 clicks I had to sit through an add, then down to 10, now its every 2-3. I’ve mostly swapped over to ff . net app anymore these days, even though it has less to pick from for my fandoms. At least it’s usable, though. I’m done with this app when I finish with my previously downloaded stories. It used to be so simple and user-friendly. Now it’s a pay-to-read nightmare of adds and impossible search engines. It wasn’t broken, but the developer tried to find things to fix anyway and made a mess of everything. Less. Is. More.

This app is absolutely awful to navigate. Whether that’s just me being unused to the interface or an actual problem is anyone’s guess. This particular problem is all the more frustrating because the reader itself is QUITE good. It’s awesome for reading stories if you know exactly what you’re looking for, but I don’t know if I’d try browsing with it.

So I really love using this app because I get to read on the go without wasting too much data by being on google chrome. However, in the last two weeks or so, the browse will only show 6 stories when I type in a certain pairing in the relationship section. Before, I had 80+ pages of stories to browse through and now I only get one page. Is this a bug that can be fixed? I hope so because I really don’t want to have to abandon this app.

I’ve had this app for a couple of months and it was great, but last week basically all of the stories disappeared and there’s only about a fraction of them left for me to read. Its not from my download section, it’s from the browsing section. Most of the stories are now gone and I can’t read any stories anymore
  • Incomprehensible Purchasing

I recently downloaded the fanfic pocket reader and was very satisfied with my experience so to begin with, thank you. My problem occurred when I wanted to use the special “premium” fonts to read in. I paid a “generous tip” of $1.99, yet my nothing of my fanfiction experience changed. I checked in the App Store and the pro subscription is $1.49 so I paid more than enough to be able to access the premium features, yet I have not been granted to access to them. I was hoping for an explanation of why my payment didn’t grant access to the benefits and how I can get those features applied to my account. I also sent an email with this grievance, but it’s been about two days and I still haven’t got a response. I would suggest making the purchasing process clearer to understand as I have spent $2 and have received nothing for it.

I’ve been using this for a while but then for some reason whenever I search for something with the filter the number of things that come up is wayyyyg less that what how it should normally appear. It’s really frustrating.

I’ve been using this app for a long time with little to no problems. But the past few days, when i search/categorize what i want, I’m getting few to zero results. However, when I click on the Relationship tagged, all of the texts come up. I don’t know why this is but it is extremely annoying.
