  • Forcing me to update my old Day One

    By Elodyman
:( I used to use Day One all the time before they updated to subscription based and now my old app I refused to update doesn’t open and is forcing me to update. This is ridiculous. I wanted to keep my old Day One with all my journal entries and the style for a reason. Now I’m forced elsewise.
  • Can't sign in with day one account.

Can't sign in with day one account. Always gateway timed out. But can sign in with Apple ID
  • Very unstable recently

    By Vince1658
Two incidents happened in jus as short as few weeks. 1. Few days ago, when I opened the DayOne app, it showed a blank page and said “shared with 6 others”. WHAT?!!! I contacted the support and they told me nothing was shared. Are they testing the share function on real user’s account??? This is very dangerous and how do I know my journal are still safe after they tried to share my stuff without my consent? 2. Today both of the DayOne apps on my iPhone and iPad stopped working. For no reason. They are claiming their sync service is better and wanting people to pay for subscription. Not true! I already paid for this app and I will never pay a monthly fee for this unreliable stuff! I’m still using this buggy app because they have end-to-end encryption. If any other alternatives include this function, I will switch immediately. DayOne has become unreliable!
  • Rip Off App

I like and still use the original Day One App, but hate that the original app omitted the option to include multiple photos in one entry (seems on purpose to be honest). Now that I’m interested in finally updating to get multiple photos in an entry, they want to charge $25 a year?? Seriously? How are the devs going to charge $25/yr when the base iPhone Notes App can do 90% of the same for free? Extremely obnoxious and greedy of the developer. I would buy Day One 2 if it used iCloud and cost at most $10 one time, but $25 a year? I’ll be looking into another app right now. Greed has cost you a customer.
  • I Lost all my notes twice

    Unreliable sync, unqualified note app
  • Does the Apple Pencil have any functionality with this app?

Does the Apple Pencil have any functionality with this app?
  • Not what is used to be

They have gotten greedy with a steep subscription pricing and forcing users to use their servers, thus privacy concerns. Right now other apps have stepped up that are comparable more secure. Unfortunately I had to move on. If you don’t care about pricing and privacy concerns then this app is for you.
  • Best Journaling App

    No competition.
  • Love it

I never had a habit of journaling until I used this app. I’ve been journaling pretty consistently for years now. The interface is perfect, and I feel like every detail has been meticulously thought of. One of the best apps on the store.
  • Probably the most important app on my phone

    By @capthowdy1027
I’ve been using Day One since 2012 and it is the most important apps on my phone. I always look back and think about how proud I am that I’ve kept up with it for so long. But I have been getting lag issues here lately. It’s either when I paste in a link or post too many pictures, I haven’t figured out which yet. But I just updated to iOS 11 so maybe that bug will be fixed now. Regardless, fantastic app.
