The perfect app to teach your kids about money through completing chores and working towards goals. Don’t listen to us, listen to those that fell in love with it. “I love that the Homey not only encourages kids to develop a strong work ethic, but it teaches kids how money is earned, encourages long-term goal setting, instills real life financial skills, and connects the whole family with a fun approach to paid chores.” Crystal, MoneySavingMom “Homey is a great organizational tool for families!” Best Apps for Kids “Homey helps remind my children what jobs they haven’t done yet, so I don’t need to. It even inspires them to work a little harder to earn allowance. Better yet, they are learning to save up that allowance for a bigger reward.” Gloria, JugglingMother “A picture says a thousand words. And with Homey, those words are “this is the chore you’re supposed to be doing right now.” Snap a photo of your kid’s unmade bed and send it to them with a deadline, and then they can send a photo back once it’s taken care of.” Fatherly Features: - set daily, weekly or monthly recurring or one time chores for the whole family - set chores that are responsibilities and you won't pay for and jobs to teach kids how to earn money or rewards - manage allowance and extra money rewards for each child - transfer allowance to bank account (US only) - track IOU - add or remove funds from wallet - set saving jars with financial goals - kids learn to manage funds for each of their goals - Homey syncs across all devices in the household SHOW KIDS HOW MONEY IS EARNED With Homey you can pay kids commissions based on chores they do around the house like taking out the trash, cleaning their room, or mowing the grass. And you can also set responsibilities that are required to teach kids that everyone needs to contribute to the household. SUPPORT LONG-TERM GOALS AND SAVING Teach kids delayed gratification and financial responsibility by providing them with incentives that differ in value. With Homey kids learn they need to work longer or harder to earn more. TEACH REAL LIFE FINANCIAL SKILLS Homey enables you to transfer allowance and money kids earn directly to their savings or checking account or tracks the money as IOU and pay it out in cash. This way you can teach your child how banking works, they can accumulate interests on their savings and you can be sure that their money will stay safe. By subscribing to Homey Monthly or Homey Yearly you'll get access to other great features like: Unlimited family members. This app was great until they updated it and then it was terrible. I can’t see any chores and it completely erases all the things you have done.
  • Working great

Had some issues, but the email customer support was great. I like the updates and can't wait for the new features. My family really likes this app.

It takes a while to set everything up, but it makes organization easier in the long run. Kids like checking their wallets and I feel they are learning about money management.
  • Time saver

For a family of 8 this saves me a lot of time, since I don't have to update the recurring tasks.
  • Doesn’t work

Downloaded the app and couldn’t even get it to work. Said my family name was wrong. Wouldn’t let me get past putting my name in to register and then it would freeze up.
  • Awesome family app

I love that the responsibilities are separate from paid chores. I don't want to pay kids to do homework or practice their instruments.
  • Love it

Day 1 of using this app has been going great and the kids are really proud of their work.
  • Great app

We use this in our family of six, and it makes it much easier to stay organized and keep track of everyone's allowance. I have a suggestion: automatic payments to some saving jars, so I wouldn't have to deduct their phone bill every time and hope they haven't allocated all their funds to other jars.
  • Can’t Log into Family Account on iPod

    By joannabrown43
Hi there... every time I try to login to my family account on my son’s iPod, it lets me input my password and then automatically closes the app and brings me back to the iPod home screen. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
  • Great app in the making

I think this is on its way to being a really great app. I do encounter an error when trying to “clone” a chore for multiple children though. Also, one suggestion I’d have is the ability to set a chore to 0 points. For example, I’d like to have responsibilities worth points only (which I can do) and jobs worth coins only (which I currently can’t do). Overall, after reviewing several apps, I think this one has the most of what I was looking for.
